Soul Surfer (2011

This movie tells the incredible real story of the courageous Bethany Hamilton a young championship surfer who lost her arm after a shark attack, and how she managed to keep living her life despite the accident.

This cute, impressive biographical story make its on the To-Watch list! :)

City of God (2002)

Amazing visuals is the first thing that comes to mind when I think about this movie.
This is a gangster movie set in a poor community of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil that shows the contrast between Lil Z a psychopath dealer craving for power and total control of the city's drug commerce, and Rocket who does not want anything to do with that life.

This movie is a To-Watch -er!! :)

Barry Lyndon by Stanley Kubrick

This movie tells the long tale of Redmond Berry. From the moment he falls in love with his cousin Nora, to when he escapes to Dublin, gets robbed, joins the army, deserts the army, become a great gambler, marries the noble lady Lyndon...... The Story goes on and keeps you on the edge of your seat. I personally felt that the movie and the character reminded me of Voltaire's Candide and his long journey full of adventures and misadventures.

This movie is a to-watcher

Full Metal Jacket by Stanley Kubrick

One of the best army movies I have ever seen!
This movie follows the lives of a few US Marines from their initial army training to the battlefield, during the Vietnam War.
The thing I loved most about this movie is that its not fictional, their are no heroic saves or victories, just the hard TRUTH!

Full Metal Jacket makes it on the to-watch list :)

A Clockwork Orange by Stanley Kuprick

A Mastepiece! Protagonist Alex is an "ultraviolent" youth in futuristic Britain. As with all luck, his eventually runs out and he's arrested and convicted of murder and rape. While in prison, Alex learns of an experimental program in which convicts are programed to detest violence. If he goes through the program his sentence will be reduced and he will be back on the streets sooner than expected. But Alex's ordeals are far from over once he hits the mean streets of Britain that he had a hand in creating.

This is anything but a "casual" and so its on the To-Watch list :)

Alfred Hitchcock

These are the best of the Hitchcock movies I have seen so far:

-The Birds: Watched this outdoors on riverside park in NY. One of the best feelings ever!
This thriller is amazing
-I Confess: Loved it!
-Young and Innocent: Romance, Action and Suspence! What can be better!?
-The Ring: Despite the fact that this movie has no audible dialogue, it is still AMAZING!

ALL of these movies are on the To-Watch List!! :)

The Eagle- 2011

This movie takes you on the journey of Marcus Aquilla and his slave Esca as the search for a golden eagle an important emblem to the Romans. This movie was not bad but it wasn't really special, though I highly enjoy actors Channing Tatum and Jamie Bell. I think this movie is a not-to-watcher because It really had nothing memorable.

Back to the Future Trilogy- 1985,1989 &1990

Well this is Steven Spielberg production and is consequently kind of a classic.
Really reflective of the 80's, not so much of the 21st century (we are no where near flying cars :P), this feature is a immensely fun joyride. The actors Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd brilliant and adorable and get quite close to the audience. The storyline is full of fun, thrill and suspense, though he third one is not quite as good as the first two parts...
Back to the Future is a To-Watcher people.

Up- 2009

Pixar has done it again giving us another instant masterpiece: Up. This is possibly the cutest movie I have ever seen. With incredible animation resulting in beautiful colorful scenery, adorable and hilarious characters, an AMAZING score by my god on earth M. Giacchino and most importantly a wonderful and deep story based on love and friendship this movie caught my attention for its full 96 minutes.

Up is at the top of the to-watch
list and the newest of my favorite movies :)

Psycho- 1959

Um...Okay...I don't think I need to say that this masterpiece by Genius: Alfred Hitchcock is on the TO-WATCH LIST !!!

Amazing movie complete with the oh so popular "Shower Scene"( which btw took 7 complete days of filming and 70 different camera angles!!)

Just watch it people..... TODAY even if you have the chance :p

Love and Other Drugs

Just can't figure out this movie its on which list :S
Its a bit slow at first and a bit depressing at the end, but the whole movie was pretty much enjoyable .
The chemistry between Gyllenhaal and Hathaway is remarkable.
The story was cute and interesting.
But I still have mixed feelings....

Tron: Legacy

Cool graphics, costumes, gadgets and music. But I personally feel there's a lot of problems with the story. Okay, first of all, It was kind of hard to understand the world at first and even though that added intrigue and suspense, it was still foggy. And the story is just almost nonexistent.
Honestly I think if you're not gonna watch it at the movie theater just don't.

The Tourist

Biggest disappointment of the year so far. I can't believe I've waited for this movie forever!!!
I mean Angelina Jolie is one of my all-time favorite actors and I've always really enjoyed Johnny Depp in his movies. I even LOVE Paul Bettany and Rufus Sewel. But I just can't understand how they ruined this movie.
Apart from extremely gorgeous Jolie, beautiful sets and shots, and couple or cute funny action scenes, this movie turned out as the biggest plot and ending FAIL ever!!!
I'm just baffled and just can't seem to understand how they messed it up!!??

I can't believe I'm saying this this but The Tourist is a FAIL and a NOT-to-WATCHER!!!

Tangled

Really cute Disney animation movie, haven't seen one in a while (except for toy story 3).
Enjoyed the funny and surprisingly fresh characters, especially sidekicks Pascale and Brutus.

Disney goes old school with this classic fairytale , including awesome original music by Alan Menken (The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Hercules....)

Don't want to spoil it by telling more because TANGLED IS A TO-WATCHER!!!
